BlackBerry s future is completely up in the air right now but it will apparently still include making handsets. Chen said that the company still has enough ingredients to build a long-term sustainable business and that he was confident the company could turn itself around given enough time. Chen thinks that it will take six quarters to change BlackBerry s fortunes and won t make any other major management changes. We ve heard this sort of happy talk from BlackBerry executives before of course it was less than a year and a half ago that ousted BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins claimed that there was nothing wrong with the company as it exists right now.
