While everyone is awaiting Google’s latest Android Pie OS update for their smartphone, BlackBerry has now started pushing out Android 8.0 Oreo update to its BlackBerry KEYone devices.
In July, BlackBerry had announced the Android 8.0 Oreo beta as an invite-only update for select users. But starting August 15, the company is finally starting pushing the Android 8.0 Stable update to all BlackBerry KEYone owners in Canada.
TCL Communication will be rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo OTA update at 9:00AM ET. It will be available both unlocked and carrier locked devices. BlackBerry KEYone users can also manually check for the update by going to Settings -> System -> System Updates. The Android 8.0 Oreo update is said to bring picture-in-picture, Google’s Autofill API for easier password entry, adaptive icons, and more to the BlackBerry KEYone devices.
