BlackBerry Krypton is pretty much new to the rumor mill. We don’t really know much about the smartphone. However, what we know is TCL is working on an all-touch smartphone, which has been reportedly named BlackBerry Krypton. As spotted by SlashGear, the image reveals only the back of the smartphone not revealing much about the design too. The image shows BlackBerry Krypton placed above BalckBerry KEYone. The image shows that the smartphone might feature a single rear that will be placed in the top left corner. The upper part of the phone, where the camera is placed on a brushed metal late while the lower half is made up of carbon-fibre. Apart from that, unlike the BlackBerry KEYone, the Krypton is said to come with a single LED flash. If compared to the KEYone smartphone, the camera ring has also been narrowed down. The BlackBerry branding remains in the center. Another thing that the image confirms is that the upcoming Krypton will come with the same width as that of the KEYone.
Previous reports suggest that the smartphone will bear a model number BBD100-2. However, apart from that, reports suggest that there could be three more models, which has been spotted under the codename – BBD100-1, BBD100-3 and BBD100-6.
Coming back to BlackBerry Krypton, from what we know so far, the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.2-inch full HD display. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm s Snapdragon 625 or 626 SoC inside, paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone will bear IP67 rating for waterproofing and dust resistance. On the software front, the phone is said to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is also expected to come with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will house a 4,000mAh battery, which is allegedly rated to deliver two-days of usage. If rumors are something to go by, BalckBerry Krypton is said to be launching next month.
