Blackberry has reduced the price of its QWERTY keypad equipped Q10 smartphone by 13.3 percent to Rs 38,990 from its initial price of Rs 44,990. Like BlackBerry did for the Z10, this time as well the company is publicizing it as a limited period discount offer, which will last till January 26, 2014. BlackBerry had earlier announced a festive discount on the Z10, which we believe was a part of BlackBerry’s global initiative to bring the Z10 to a lower price tier as the company was sitting on Z10 inventory worth over $900 million. The point to notice is that the Q10 is already retailing at a lower price point on many online stores like on Amazon and Flipkart, which are selling it for Rs 37,990 and Rs 38,999 respectively. Judging by these retailers, it would be unlikely that BlackBerry raises the price of the Q10 post January 26.
However, stranger things have happened in the past and in case you were planning to buy the Q10, it is a good time to pick it.
