BlackBerry’s smartphone codenamed ‘Rio’ has been in development for quite some time now, and we might finally have our first look at the device. At first glance the BlackBerry Rio looks a lot like the BlackBerry Z3. There is however no word on whether this device will be superseding the BlackBerry Z3. On the design front, the placement of the button, and the changes on the back side are the only noticeable differences that separate the handset’s appearance from the Z3. From what we have heard of the specifications, the Rio is said to feature a 5-inch 720p display, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable internal storage. On the camera side, there is an 8-megapixel snapper at the back which complements the 2-megapixel selfie shooter upfront. It packs in 2,800mAh battery in within the 9.5mm thick shell. The smartphone also includes LTE support, and according to the publication will cost less than $300 (Rs 18,900 approximately).
