BlackBerry s previously rumored smartphone codenamed Windermere has once again surfaced online, suggesting that the phone is indeed in the making. Now a new report by Crackberry has leaked some specification details of the phone highlighting that the phone will come with a 4.5-inch display placed above its bigger than usual QWERTY keyboard. Rumors had it that the phone will come with a revamped QWERTY keypad with a new three-row physical keypad instead of the usual four-row one, due to which it will be wider than older BlackBerry smartphones. Going by the leaked information, the Windermere seems to be a premium phone which will don stainless steel chassis to compete against the metal bodied offerings of other smartphone brands. The phone is also expected to be quite big in size, considering that it will come with a 4.5-inch touch panel with 1440 1440 pixels resolution along with a QWERTY keypad. There is no information given about the processor and memory of the phone, though the leaked information mentions that it will adorn a 13-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization for better shots. Also suggested is that the phone will house a 3,450mAh battery.
There is no information available on the launch and price of the phone, however this one is expected to be the company s premium smartphone which has been planned for this year along with the rumored Q20. A recent report also hinted towards BlackBerry s Bold 9900-like designed smartphone.
