Gamers all around the world can rejoice as Blizzard has officially confirmed that the latest version of popular action-role playing game Diablo III will hit the shelves of May 15. After numerous delays, gamers saw the game’s release date being constantly pushed back from an expected 2011 release to early 2012 and now finally to 15 May. Blizzard has already opened pre-orders and the game will ship for PC and Mac platforms with Windows XP, Vista and 7 being supported. Diablo III will hit US, Canada, Europe, South Korea, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Macau, Hong Kong and regions of Taiwan in May. Players in Latin America and Russia will have to wait a little bit more for a June 7 release. The standard DVD of the game will cost $59.99, while the special alabaster-white collectors edition will cost $99.99, which will include an art book, soundtrack CD, behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD, and a copy of Diablo II along with its expansion pack.
