The video shows Atlas running in the woods in the unfamiliar and unpredictable terrain. It starts off a tad unsteady, not much unlike a drunk man, but soon gets into a rhythm. The good thing is that the robot is tethered to a wire for power source for now. But that is bound to change.
At the pace these robots are being developed, a dystopian world envisaged by the likes of Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick doesn t seem too far off.
