The new BSNL Fibro BBG ULD 995 plan is priced at Rs 995 and it comes with data benefits of FUP 200GB at speed of 20Mbps. The plan might not seem that attractive when compared to plans from service providers like ACT broadband and Bharti Airtel. BSNL’s plan offers data speed of 2Mbps after customers exhaust their FUP data. Also Read - BSNL offers 100 minutes free calling with select plans to aid COVID-19, Cyclone Tauktae affected users
BSNL states that this new Fibro BBG ULD 995 plan will be available as a limited period offer and will be valid up to a period of 90 days from the date of introduction. The plan does not seem to be aimed to compete with other private internet service providers in the state and will serve as an option to its existing customers currently subscribed to a lower tariff plan with much less data. This new broadband plan will be available only in Ernakulam circle of Kerala and won’t be offered in other cities.
One of the key benefits of this tariff plan is the FUP data limit that it has to offer. The FUP that it offers is 200GB at a speed of 20Mbps. The plan also gives BSNL users an email ID with space of 1GB. In comparison with other plans from the operator, the Fibro BBG ULD 995 does not come with any calling benefits. With this plan, the state-owned telecom player is also charging installation fee of Rs 500 for new users while existing users can simply change their plan.
BSNL also offers discounts when you pay for a long term tariff plan. The one year plan will cost Rs 10,945 while a two year subscription is priced at Rs 20,898. The company also offers a three year plan priced at Rs 29,850, which translates to a discount of 16 percent.
