On the occasion of Durga Puja and Dussehra, state run telco, BSNL, has launched a special tariff voucher (STV) for its prepaid subscribers. Priced at Rs 78, it is a limited period pack valid from October 15, and will be available across India in all BSNL circles. And although it is a limited period pack, the plan offers some interesting benefits. To begin with, the Rs 78 STV prepaid recharge offers unlimited voice calls to any network in India, without any FUP. This also includes to the numbers that are located in Delhi and Mumbai circles. Also Read - Jio likely to launch affordable Android phones in India by Dec 2020: Report
3G technology brought high-speed data, and video calling feature, but customers prefer making video calls on OTT platforms. BSNL is aiming to change that, and it is also offering unlimited video calls with this plan.

The plan also includes 2GB high-speed daily data, and once the FUP limit is hit, the speed is throttled to 80Kbps. The plan comes with 10 days validity, meaning users can download up to 20GB high-speed data through the validity. To activate the plan, users can either make an STV recharge of Rs 78, or activate using a text message STV COMBO78 and send it to 123.
With this new STV, BSNL will compete with Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone plans. But BSNL has an number of advantages over its competitors. It offers daily high-speed 3G data, unlimited voice calls, video calling as well, something that others don t offer.
