BSNL has turned 18, and on the occasion of ‘Formation Day,’ the state-run telco is now taking on Vodafone Idea and Airtel by offering free Amazon Prime video subscription for one-year on select postpaid and broadband plans. Starting today, October 1, BSNL subscribers can avail the free subscription.

First reported by TelecomTalk, the free Amazon Prime subscription is available for postpaid users having Rs 399 plan and above. Similarly, broadband users with Rs 745 plan and above are eligible for this offer. With one-year free subscription, customers can avail free two-day Prime delivery on their orders, exclusive access to deals before non-Prime members, and access to Amazon Prime Video and Prime Music.

To avail the offer, eligible customers need to head over to and click on the banner that reads BSNL-Amazon. TelecomTalk notes that the banner hasn’t gone live yet, but will be available soon. At the time of filing this story, even we couldn’t find it either.

Once the banner goes live, you simply need to enter your BSNL number that has the eligible plan, along with other details that the page will ask. You will then need to generate the OTP, and after successful validation, you will have to click on the “Activate” button. On the next screen, you will have to enter your Amazon account details if you already have an account. In case you don’t, you can create one. That’s it, your Amazon Prime complimentary subscription will be activated in a few minutes. Do note that you can’t avail this offer if you already have Amazon Prime membership.
