Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has been among the leading broadband providers in India, and has been around longer than any other. And now BSNL is all set to offer four new non-FTTH broadband plans that start from Rs 99. These plans come with daily data benefit like the unlimited prepaid combo plans that are offered by telcos these days. BSNL has now introduced Rs 99, Rs 199, Rs 299 and Rs 399 BBG ULD Combo, and these packs come with benefits ranging from 45GB to 600GB. All the four mentioned plans will offer 20Mbps data download speeds until the daily FUP, beyond which the speeds will be reduced to 1Mbps, TelecomTalk reports. These plans also offer unlimited voice calling facility to any network in India. These plans are being introduced all over the country (except the Andaman and Nicobar telecom circle), but only on a promotional basis and will be valid for only 90 days from the date of introduction. The BSNL BBG Combo ULD 45GB Plan that is priced at Rs 99 will provide a daily FUP limit of 1.5GB, and similarly the 150GB plan will have a daily FUP limit of 5GB, 300GB will have 10GB and the 600GB plan will have an FUP limit of 20GB per day. Beyond the FUP limits all the plans will revert to the speed of 1Mbps, and the speed gets renewed at 12 midnight. There is no download limit post the FUP. BSNL will be offering a free email ID along with 1GB of storage with these plans.
BSNL will decide on whether to extend the 90 days period based on the demand of these plans, and older users will not be able to migrate to these plans because it s aimed to garner new users. There will be a Rs 500 security deposit when purchasing the plans, and the users will be migrated to other broadband plans after six months. The new plans will be discussed during the migration.
