Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the state-owned telecom operator, has rolled out a new scheme to drive its broadband subscription. Under a new scheme, BSNL is offering 20Mbps broadband connection for free for a period of two months to those who buy a new laptop or a PC.

If you are a customer who purchased a new laptop or PC then you can avail this new offer from BSNL by submitting the bill of your purchase, reports TelecomTalk. In order to avail the offer, customers only need to submit a copy of their PC or laptop bill issued within two months prior to the month of taking BSNL broadband connection. After the submission of the bill, they will be eligible for BSNL’s BBG Combo ULD 45GB broadband plan.

The BBG Combo ULD 45GB broadband plan was launched recently by BSNL. The new Rs 99 plan offers benefits of 1.5GB data every day with speed of 20Mbps. After the completion of daily FUP, the state-owned operator will reduce the speed to 1Mbps. The plan has a fair usage policy of 45GB every month, and will be offered as free for a period of two months.

“The commercial officer of the area shall attach the same at the time of provision of new broadband connection under above promotional scheme and shall keep the copy of PC/Laptop’s bill in the file of the customer,” the company said in a statement.

BSNL had introduced this offer on a pan-India basis except for the Andaman and Nicobar circle. BSNL has been revising its broadband plans, and bumping up the data limit as an attempt to steer consumers away from the upcoming launch of JioFiber. With the announcement of this new scheme, the state-owned telecom player is further making its service an ideal choice for those planning to get broadband. The only missing piece is that BSNL has not detailed where to submit the bill to the redeem the offer.
