Today, telcos are having a cut-throat competition on who offers a better price vs data plan, and outgoing calls have become free of charge. Still, there are users who don t opt for these plans, simply because their usage may not be as much. To cater such audience, BSNL has introduced a special STV priced at Rs 19, which acts like a rate cutter plan. The Rs 19 STV is available to purchase in Chennai and Tamil Nadu regions and this special promotional pack will expire on October 11, Telecom Talk reports. The plan will be valid for 54 days from the date of activation. Talking about the benefits, outgoing on-net calls to BSNL numbers will be priced at 15 paise per minute, whereas off-net calls to other networks will be priced at 35 paise per minute. The special tariff is applicable in home circle and while on national roaming, except Mumbai and Delhi circles. After the 54 days validity period ends, voice calling rates will be charged as per standard rates. As of now, there is no word on whether or not BSNL plans to introduce the plan in other circles.
Meanwhile, BSNL has also launched a bunch of other voice calling plans priced at Rs 39, Rs 99 and Rs 319. The Rs 39 plan comes with 10 days validity, the Rs 99 plan comes with 26 days validity, whereas the Rs 319 plan offers a validity of 90 days. In terms of benefits, all these plans offer unlimited voice calling, both in home and roaming network. Sadly, these plans don t include any data benefits.
