Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the state-owned telecom operator, has been hard at work to stay competitive against private telecom players in the market. The company has been increasingly competitive by launching a number of new and revised tariff plans. Apart from offering free calls and data, the company has also been trying to link broadband plans on select plans.
As part of that strategy, BSNL has launched a new Rakshabandhan special offer priced at Rs 399. With STV of Rs 399, the telecom player is offering a plan that has a validity period of 74 days. The plan will be valid starting August 26 and on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, it offers bundled benefits including unlimited calling, SMS and data benefits.
With the recharge of Rs 399, BSNL also offers option to enable personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT), which is similar to other players. One of the biggest advantage with the special tariff voucher of Rs 399 is the ability to make calls to other users situated in Delhi and Mumbai as well. Most of BSNL’s tariff plans do not offer calling to these two cities as part of its unlimited voice calls.
“Raksha Bandhan is a festival of unlimited love and affection between brothers and sisters, and in line with the spirit of the festival, BSNL is launching this STV 399 with all unlimited features which can be an ideal gift for anyone,” BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said in a statement. With special tariff voucher of Rs 399, BSNL has surprised its users by offering truly unlimited tariff plan.

It offers truly unlimited services of data, calling and SMS. Earlier, BSNL would drop calling facility to Delhi and Mumbai as part of unlimited calling but with this plan, the company is including both the cities. This plan will be available to all existing and new BSNL users from August 26, on the day of Rakshabandhan and will be available under the name of STV399.
