It is worth mentioning that the revised offer is a limited time promotional plan which will be available for 90 days. It is said to be available for subscribers in Tamil Nadu, and could be extended to other circles as well. It is advisable that before making the recharge, you check for eligibility and availability of the plan based on the circle of operations.
Interestingly, there’s a separate Rs 186 plan which offers similar benefits but for a longer validity period. Under this plan, subscribers can enjoy unlimited local and STD voice calls, along with 1GB daily data quota. The validity of this pack is 180 days. However, the daily data quota will be provided only in the first 28 days of recharge. The unlimited voice calls include both on-net and off-net voice calls, India Today reports.
Owing to stiff competition initiated by Reliance Jio, a lot of operators are constantly seen revising their call and data plans, offering bundled data plans, and also tying up with device makers to push their subscriptions. BSNL has also been trying to hold its market position in similar fashion. The operator recently joined forces with Lava and Micromax to offer low-cost mobile phones with bundled offers. Some reports indicate that BSNL could also launch its own line of smartphones, which will be priced under Rs 2,500 and offer bundled voice and data benefits.
