BSNL has been in the forefront when it comes to challenging Reliance Jio‘s aggressive data plan. The telecom operator seems to have set its sights on the postpaid subscribers now. With Rs 399 and Rs 799 postpaid tariff plan, BSNL, like other telcos, is offering outgoing roaming calls for free. With the revision, BSNL is also doing away with daily FUP or monthly FUP limits. The voice calling is unlimited with both the plans whether on-net or off-net calls. With the Rs 799 postpaid plan, BSNL is offering unlimited calling to landline numbers as well. Alongside the voice benefits, BSNL is also providing data benefits that are competitive with other telecom service providers.
With Rs 399 Ghar Wapsi plan, BSNL is offering 30GB data while with Rs 799 plan, the state-owned operator is offering 60GB data benefit. The only downside with both the plans is that subscribers miss out on free SMS pack. The changes are already live on BSNL’s website.
A company spokesperson told TelecomTalk.info that both the plans offered outgoing calls earlier as well but were listed without outgoing roaming on its website creating confusion. The operator is coming clean on its tariff plan with the new announcement. BSNL, while it lacks the clout of private operators like Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance Jio in terms of connectivity, it stays right on top with data tariffs.
