After focusing on long-terms plans, BSNL is now revising its shorter-validity prepaid plans to offer more data to its customers, at the same price. In order to compete better with other telcos, BSNL is bringing these changes to all the prepaid STV plans in its assortment. According to Telecomtalk, BSNL has introduced these plans on a promotional basis, and will be offering them till September 6. After that, the company will be taking a call to either change the plans permanently or retain the older benefits. All the revised plans are already available across the country, and here are the new benefits available with them. For starters, BSNL is revising its Rs 14, Rs 29 and Rs 40 plans. The Rs 14 plan gets a huge boost from its 110 MB to 1GB of data per day. Even the Rs 29 plan now will be offering 1GB of data in place of 150 MB for three days. Subsequently, the Rs 40 and Rs 57 plans will also be offering 1GB of data now, but will carry the same validity period.
Moving up the ladder, BSNL is updating the Rs 68 plan to offer 2GB of data for five days, instead of 1GB. Both the Rs 78 and Rs 82 data STVs will now come with 4GB of 3G data with the later one also getting a free PRBT (Personalized ring back tone) facility, which allows subscribers to setup a custom tune instead of the default ringer. Even the Rs 241 plan is being upgraded to 7GB of data for 30 days. It currently offers only 2.7GB.

Besides these, the company has also revised its Rs 155 plan to offer 2GB of data per day for 17 days, instead of 1.5GB. Similarly, even the Rs 198 plan has been upgraded to 2.5GB of data per day from 1GB, for 24 days. The plan also carries a free PRBT bonus.
