BSNL’s two promotional broadband plans will now be available to all the new and existing consumers. The states-run telecom operator has now regularized Rs 777 and Rs 1,277 fixed line broadband plans for all consumers. These two broadband plans were introduced back in June as a promotional offer for 90 days.
BSNL usually introduces such promotional plans in mobile prepaid and postpaid tariffs as well, and based on consumer interest the telecom operator decides whether to keep them going after 90 days or not. In case of BSNL’s Rs 777 and Rs 1,277 broadband plans, these were only offered to new users coming to BSNL, but from today onwards, these will now be available to existing BSNL broadband subscribers as well, reports TelecomTalk.
The Rs 777 broadband plan is known as BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 777, whereas the Rs 1,277 broadband plan is known as BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 1277. The Rs 777 plan offers a FUP of 500GB per month with speeds of 50Mbps. The Rs 1,277 broadband plan offers 100Mbps speeds and 750GB of FUP. After the FUP, the data speed drops to 2Mbps and users won’t be charged for extra data.
Both plans are valid across the country, except for Andaman & Nicobar telecom circle. BSNL is collecting security deposit in some circles for these plans. Consumers also have an option of paying for an entire year (12 months), 2 years or 3 years for these plans in advance, and they will save some money on it. In the case of Rs 777 plan, consumers will be required to pay Rs 8,547 for 12 months. The same plan can be availed for two and three years by paying Rs 16,317 and Rs 23,310 respectively.
