BSNL, the state-owned telecom operator, has introduced a new tariff plan called Mega Offer in conjunction with the upcoming festive season in select states. With Mega Offer, BSNL is offering the special tariff voucher priced at Rs 399 for just Rs 100 to new users joining its network. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has revealed that this offer is valid for those who join the network directly as well as those joining via mobile number portability. As one would expect, this offer comes with a catch that limits its popularity. For starters, this new Mega Offer is limited to seven states: Uttar Pradesh ( East & West), Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. In order to avail the offer, customers in these states need to produce BSNL coupon printed on the domestic LPG bills of IOCL/HPCL. The coupons are being provided by LPG dealers in these states. BSNL Mega Offer: Details on how to get the new SIM
As mentioned before, the Mega Offer from BSNL is only available in seven states and is applicable only to new users joining the network directly or via mobile number portability. In order to get the offer, a new user must produce the BSNL coupon which would be printed on the domestic LPG bills from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) or Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in these states.
The new offer is basically limited to those who get their LPG connection from either of these two firms. “Mega offer is a truly unlimited welcome-gift to new and MNP prepaid customers where @ Rs 1.35 per day for 74 days,” said Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL in a press statement. To those producing BSNL coupon printed on LPG bills, the operator will be issuing a new SIM card with first recharge of Rs 399 for just Rs 100. The SIM card can be collected from any of BSNL’s touch points in these states.
BSNL STV Rs 399: Plan Details
BSNL had first introduced the special tariff voucher priced at Rs 399 on the occasion of RakshaBandhan in August. The plan comes bundled with unlimited local, STD and national roaming calls including to users in Mumbai and Delhi. The plan offers 1GB data per day on 2G/3G network and 100 SMS per day and is valid for a period of 74 days.

The plan also offers free personalized ring back tone (PRBT) with unlimited song change option and upon completion of data limit, BSNL will cap the speed to 80kbps. The plan challenges Reliance Jio‘s Rs 399 plan which offers 1.5GB data per day for a period of 84 days.
