Along with expanding its smartphone range with the Xperia Z1S and the Xperia Z1 Compact, Sony also unveiled the Core , which marks the company s entry into the health tracker category. The Core is essentially a small tracking device which communicates with an app Sony developed called LifeLong. The app works as you would expect a fitness tracker to counting the number of steps taken, calories burnt, etc.
Sony also announced a SmartBand which houses the Core and can be worn on the wrist. It will be available in multiple colors.
