Alcatel 5 Series
Alcatel 5 Series is the premium of three categories with features like 18:9 full view display and support for face unlock. Alcatel is not sharing the full specifications of the device just yet, but the device features a metal design and notes that it will be priced below $300 (around Rs 19,500).
Alcatel 3 Series
Alcatel 3 Series is cheaper than Alcatel 5 Series and will feature larger display, dual cameras, shiny back and 18:9 full view display. Alcatel says that the device will cost only around $200 (around Rs 13,000). Alcatel says this particular series will include a “variety of devices” and the target audience will be those seeking large-screen and high-resolution displays.
Alcatel 1 Series
Alcatel 1 Series will bring 18:9 full view display to a sub-$100 (around Rs 6,500) price segment. It will mostly be aimed at emerging markets and Alcatel plans to offer premium design with a unibody form factor.
There will be multiple phones in these three categories but Alcatel is not which models will retail in which part of the world. It seems likely that entry-level Alcatel 1 Series and Alcatel 3 Series might retail in emerging markets while Alcatel 5 Series might be aimed at the US and European markets. Alcatel plans to reveal the final specifications alongside the retail model at Mobile World Congress next month.
