At the ongoing CES 2018 in Las Vegas, Lenovo has launched the 2018 edition of its ThinkPad lineup, along with an updated X1 Carbon notebook, X1 Yoga, and X1 Tablet. The company has also launched the Miix 630 2-in-1 with a Snapdragon 835 processor and 4G LTE connectivity. The other premium laptops, on the other hand, has got quad-core 8th gen Intel Core i7/i5 processors, Dolby HDR supporting displays, and faster memory.
The X1 Tablet is a 2-in-1 tablet something similar to Microsoft‘s Surface Pro. The tablet has a metal back and comes with a detachable keyboard. In terms of specifications, there is a 13-inch screen with HDR support and a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000p. The higher variants will run on Intel’s latest 8th gen Core i7 processor and the company assures a battery backup of up to 9 hours. Lenovo is also providing users with a stylus, called Pen Pro, which supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. ThinkPad X1 Tablet will be available starting March 2018 at a starting price of $1,599 (Rs 101,400 approximately).
The second addition to the X1 series is the X1 Carbon. The device is a full-fledged notebook and comes with an ultra-thin form factor. It features a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1,920×1,080p and HDR support. Under the hood, the higher variant of new X1 Carbon will run on Intel’s 8th gen Core i7 chipsets paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Lenovo says that the notebook offers battery backup of 15 hours on a single charge. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available anytime in January 2018 at $1,709 (Rs 108,400 approximately ) onwards.
The new ThinkPad X1 Yoga retains the flexible 360 hinge design. It has a 14-inch display, supports HDR and offers a resolution of 1,920×1,080p. At the heart, the device is powered by an Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 processor paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. The ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd Generation will be available anytime in January 2018, starting at $1,889 (Rs 119,800 approximately ).
Lastly, the Lenovo Miix 630 2-in-1 comes with 2-in-1 ships with a detachable keyboard. It flaunts a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ touchscreen display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and comes bundled with a Windows Ink-supporting digital pen capable of 1,024 levels of pressure. On the software front, it runs Windows 10 S, and comes supports LTE connectivity. The Miix 630 2-in-1 price starts at $799.99 (roughly Rs 50,900), and it will go on sale from Q2 2018.
