Yet another Chinese smartphone maker is today making its debut in India, called Elephone. The company has launched the G7, which has gone on sale exclusively via Snapdeal, priced at Rs 8,888.
One of the talking points on this smartphone is the impressive 5.5mm thickness. As far as specifications are concerned, the Elephone G7 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixles) display with 267ppi and is powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also on offer is 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,050mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for 11 hours of talktime and up 100 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. At this price point, the Elephone G7 will face some tough competition from the popular smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and the Yu Yureka among others.
