The feature was first spotted in March, but it has only been enabled on ChromeOS Canary build recently. According to the website, the feature can be enabled at chrome://flags#enable-lock-screen-notification. Not just that, the feature also comes with Android-like privacy controls, swipe controls and in-line reply support. That said, the notifications haven t quite started showing up on the lock screen yet. Currently they are available on the system tray. The Android-like privacy controls and swipe controls will be available on the lock screen as well, so users will have the option to swipe and show buttons like notification snoozing. However, the report states that the hide sensitive notification content feature may not be rolled out immediately with the lock screen notification support. Even the in-line rely support is said to be postponed for a later date.
