As the name suggests, the Note 3S is likely to be another variant of the Note 3. In the course of the year, Coolpad has already launched variants like the Note 3 Lite and the Note 3 Plus. The upcoming Mega 3, on the other hand, is expected to be the successor to the Mega 2.5D, which was launched earlier this year. With these Coolpad smartphones launched in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment, we expect the upcoming smartphones to be placed in the similar range as well. As with all Coolpad smartphones, the Note 3S and the Mega 3 too are expected to be Amazon India exclusives. Also Read - Huawei Band 6 launched to take on Mi Band 5, brings SpO2 monitor at budget
Not a lot is known about either of the upcoming smartphones. Based on Coolpad’s teasers, the highlight of the Mega 3 will be the triple-SIM card slots with a separate microSD card slot. It will also feature a selfie camera accompanied by a front-facing LED flash, and a 3,050mAh battery. The Note 3S, on the other hand, is expected to feature a curved glass display, and specifications like 32GB onboard storage, 3GB of RAM, and VoLTE support.
To put these leaked features into perspective, the Rs 8,999 Coolpad Note 3 featured a 5.5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, and a microSD card. The smartphone also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
The Rs 6,999 Coolpad Mega 2.5D, on the other hand, featured a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved display, MediaTek MT67355P 64-bit quad-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The smartphone also came with an 8-megapixel rear and front camera, 2,500mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
