Coolpad has introduced a new variant of its Note 5 Lite smartphone today. The new model is equipped with more storage, and is priced at Rs 8,199. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite (32GB) is available for purchase via Amazon India. There’s also an exchange discount of up to Rs 6,000 on the new model. At the time of writing, only the Royal Gold color option of the Coolpad Note 5 Lite (32GB) model was available for purchase. Coolpad Note 5 Lite was first launched in India earlier this year at a price of Rs 8,199. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite features a metal unibody design with a rear fingerprint sensor. It boasts a 5-inch HD display offering 1280×720 pixels resolution. The display is protected with 2.5D curved glass for resistance against everyday scratches. Under the hood is a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735CP SoC clocked at 1GHz, Mali 720 GPU, and paired with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of 16GB/32GB is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
For optics, there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Both the cameras are complemented with flash. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with company s Cool UI 8.0 layered above. The phone is upgradable to Android Nougat.
Keeping things ticking is a 2,500mAh battery which is claimed to offer a standby time of 200 hours. For connectivity, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, OTG and dual-SIM. At the given price, the smartphone offers fingerprint sensor and front flash on a budget.
