For a few years now, Apple began retaining the designs for at least two generation of iPhones. And to distinguish one generation from the other, the company has been relying on color. Apple introduced Rose Gold when it launched iPhone 6S and Black and Jet Black to differentiate between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7. Then Apple discontinued all three of those colors and added a new Space Gray color option, when it launched the iPhone 8. You see the pattern right?
Now when the iPhone X’s next generation is underway, we are expecting a new hue to be added to the series.
In line with that expectation, amateur graphic design Benjamin Geskin has suggested a new Blush Gold color for the 2018 iPhone X. Geskin doesn’t exactly have the best track record in terms of predictions and rumors, but he’s quite incessant with them.
Last year, just weeks ahead of the iPhone X launch, Geskin predicted that Apple will be launching a new color with the anniversary edition phone, and will call it blush gold. He said the hue would fall between the Rose Gold and the Gold color variant. Then came the event, iPhone X was launched in Silver and Space Gray, and there was no mention of Blush Gold whatsoever.
However now, months ahead of the 2018 iPhone X, Geskin holds the same grounds and says that Apple’s next-generation iPhone X model is “in production” in the new Blush Gold color. Of course, the device can not be “in production” already, and mass production won’t begin anytime soon. But he likely meant to suggest that certain components had entered test production in the new Blush Gold color, and he offered an image of a Blush Gold SIM card tray to support his claim. He also posted a render of the iPhone X successor in the rumored Blush Gold color.

Considering his last prediction, we would really suggest this bit of news be taken with a pinch of salt. Although, this is not the first time we have come across a Gold color variant in the new iPhone X. Some rumors in the recent past have suggested the same.
In 2018, Apple is expected to reveal three new iPhone models. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we can expect an iPhone X sequel as well as a larger iPhone X Plus, and a lower-cost iPhone model with an LCD screen instead of an OLED panel. All three of these new 2018 iPhones are expected to feature a design just like the current iPhone X.
