CREO is a startup founded by the same group of guys who launched the Teewe dongle for televisions. For the latest venture they recently raised $3 million from the likes of India Quotient, Beenext Ventures and Sequoia India.
Smartphones have become a commodity, and in a time when companies are fighting over the specifications and price race, CREO wants to set itself apart by focusing on the software part. Usually companies launch a device with the latest OS, but don’t follow up with regular updates. But CREO is promising an update every month, which will also introduce a big new feature as well. The company says for users this would mean using a new smartphone every month.
Not a lot is known about the device itself, but a recent teaser revealed a metal design with curved edges and glass back, circular hardware buttons, SIM card tray, microSD slot, audio jack and a micro-USB port at the bottom. Stay tuned for all the updates.
