DC Entertainment is planning on introducing a streaming service called DC Universe. The company announced recently that it will be launching the service by the end of the year, and it will carry everything related to the DC universe, including TV shows, movies, comics and much more. Before the final release, the company plans on giving a sneak peak of the service to certain fans, through a beta program, which will launch in August.

DC Universe will be a one-stop-hub for everything related to DC. You can expect it to carry the latest TV shows around DC characters, including the new ones that have been announced recently, such as Titans, Swamp Things and Doom Patrol. Animated TV shows like Young Justice and the new Harley Quinn series can also be expected to be available first on DC Universe.

The service will also carry the long list of DC movies that we have come to love (and hate) in the last few years. This could include the recently released Justice League, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, all the Superman movies and even Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight series. Popular DC animated movies are also going to be included.

Digital comic books will also be available on DC Universe. DC promises to give access to a wide variety of comic books, going all the way back to the first edition of Superman, which was introduced in the 1930s. Additionally, the service will also give access to merchandise shops, community forums and in-depth encyclopedia on popular DC characters.

DC still hasn’t set a price for the subscription yet. Although the service is said to come to iOS and Apple TV first, DC Entertainment will also be bringing it to other platforms, such as Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. DC Universe will also be accessible on PC.
