Denmark and Sweden get into the funniest Twitter war ever

It all started with Sweden taking a jibe at Denmark's small geographical area.


The official Twitter accounts of Denmark and Sweden put up an interesting show for the Twitteratis by engaging into a friendly banter. It all started when the Danish posted a tweet tagging the Swedes, pointing out one of the many things they had in common. However, Sweden then replied to it taking a dig by posting that the size of the lakes in Sweden were equal to the size of the entire Denmark. Then of course, the Danes aren t the ones to sit idle, the official Danish twitter account immediately wrote back mocking the Swedish rules. And hence, started the epic Twitter war! And it wasn t long that the argument took a little personal turn with attacks on Danish accent and Swedish s expensive alcohol.



They even exchanged articles mocking issues in each other s countries.


Of course, this sudden exchange of so many tweets worried some on social media, but the officials immediately reassured everyone that it was just a friendly rivalry.” When not getting involved in an argument, the two accounts are mostly used for their respective nation s promotional posts. The Twitter account is managed by the Danish Foreign Ministry and the account is looked after by the Swedish Institute.

Not quite the same, but in a similar manner once two brands in India had engaged in a witty wordplay, taking Twitter by a pleasant surprise. Yes, they were Amazon India and Zomato.

Back in 2015, when Zomato made some frequent changes to its logo, promoting it s campaign Amazon India tweeted #AurDikhao. Zomato cheekily replied by saying, You should have seen the ones that didn t make the cut and the tweet was attached with an image that showed Zomato aping the Amazon arrow pointing from A-Z.
