Dhingana has partnered with General Mobile (GMobi) to pre-install its Android app on the latter’s one million mobile devices, which will be shipped during the next couple of months. This would mean that the app will now come pre-loaded on Intex, Zen, Hitech, m-Tech and Maxx devices, which are rebranded General Mobiles smartphones in India. Dhingana is an Indian music streaming service, and is available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms. Its Android app lets users discover music and also features genre-specific listing of songs and also integrates with Facebook, Twitter or email to share music with others.
According to the company, Dhingana has already surpassed 9 million monthly active users. Its competitor music services like Saavn, on the other, has been claimed to have 10.5 million monthly unique users worldwide, with two-third of these from India alone.
