Fadia again put up a Facebook post after the government issued a press release. The post read, So it is official. Super excited, humbled and honored to be appointed as one of the Brand Ambassadors to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative. Some of the comments are funny, while others are downright nasty. They range from, Congratulations, our ignorant countrymen deserve this, to Sunny Leone would have been a much better choice for the real Digital India.
Government yesterday issued a press release clarifying Ankit Fadia as the brand ambassador for Digital India project. Apart from him, they have also appointed IIT-JEE toppers Satwat Jagwani and Krati Tiwari, as well as Samsung s Pranav Mistry. They have been appointed for a period of one year, and as for their role the government says, The services of these Brand Ambassadors will be used, as and when required for generating mass awareness for the program.
