Google has announced that it is bringing back its “Doodle 4 Google” competition for students across the country. As part of the competition, students from Class 1 till Class 10 compete so that their illustration can be the Google Doodle on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, 2018. The company goes to share the details about the competition stating that this competition allows users to bring their imagination of the Google logo to reality. According to the rules, this year the competition will be held on “What inspires you?” theme. The submissions for the competition will close on October 6, 2018, at 10 pm. The company added that it believes the power of imagination and creativity to shape the world while instilling inspiration. The illustration will not be limited to any material and it can be done by anything ranging from clay to crayons, watercolors or even graphics design. The only rule here is that participants need to ensure that they incorporate all the letters of the logo. This is not the first time that Google is holding this competition and instead, it has turned out to be a tradition while giving probably one of the largest platforms for school students to exhibit their work. According to the announcement, the company gets “thousands” of entries from across the country. The company also revealed the list of judges for the competition and it includes actor Arun Iyer, Rob, the host of the popular show ‘MAD’, YouTuber Sejal Kumar, and Ryan Germick, the original lead for the Google Doodle team. Google added that the company will select top 20 doodles with the help of jury votes and internal judging before bringing them out to the final jury.
The 20 top doodles will be shown to the public and they will vote for which is the best doodle from October 23 to November 5, 2018. Google will also present a Rs 5 lakh college scholarship to the doodle that wins in addition to many other prizes .
