The Majors Battle Pass, which was modelled after The International Battle Pass, had daily and weekly challenges, new cosmetic items in the theme of the Major. Valve is selling Dota Plus as a replacement for all this with some added bonus. Dota Plus will be adding hundreds of challenges for each individual heroes which are going to be specific for each. The experience earned will result in the heroes earning level badges, new Hero Chat Wheel responses, and Shards, which is a new in-game currency that will be used to unlock rewards. There will also be a weekly reward of a 1,000 shards for players who complete three games each week. Players will be granted access to Plus-exclusive items that can be bought using shards and select legacy item sets for heroes.
Perhaps the biggest addition of all in this update would be the Plus Assistant. This nifty new tool will be offering players customized item suggestions based on lane selection and items that have been purchased so far.
The Plus Assistant will also suggest which ability to select at each level. Suggestions are based on hero lineups, the lane, and which abilities have already selected. And in case you are confused about which hero to pick, Plus Assistant will suggest that as well.
Dota Plus will also give players access to a Death Summary screen that will provide a second-by-second timeline of incoming damage, stuns, and other disabling effects that led to the death of the hero. Apart from this there is a lane strategy feature that will offer team-wide suggestions. There is a Post-Game Analytics feature as well that will compare your performance for a given metric over the course of the game to what the average performance is at a given skill bracket .
Subscribers to Dota Plus will be able to participate in the weekly Battle-Cup for free. While non-subscribers will still be able to buy a ticket for $0.99 (Rs 64 approximately). To cap it all, Dota Plus members will have access to the Seasonal Terrain that is active during each season.
