The Internet has been abuzz this morning with news of Apple s plans of buying Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion. While neither of the companies has issued an official statement, Dr. Dre himself has jumped the gun and all but confirmed the deal in a Facebook video uploaded by Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson. The video has been shot at what looks like a party that includes Gibson, Dre and his entourage. While this is by no means an official confirmation, this is the closest we can get to one at this moment. The report this morning claimed that the deal is likely to be confirmed as early as next week, and this would be Apple s largest ever acquisition.
