Benelli s partnership with DSK in India looks to be fledgeling as they bring their much-awaited fully faired Benelli 302R sportbike for the enthusiasts. The bike is priced at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom). The 302R has the underpinnings of Benelli s most affordable twin cylinder motorcycle in India, the TNT 300. DSK Benelli 302R has a fair amount of equipment especially for a vehicle in the sub-4 lakh price point. It was first showcased two years ago at the EICMA, and caught a lot of eye balls as it gets an imposing twin headlamp setup, clear lens indicators, and LED taillights. 302R gets clip-on handlebars for sporty riding setup, whereas the side-mounted exhaust is bent towards the bottom to deliver a throaty and bassy exhaust note.
It gets a digital analogue instrument cluster, which is similar to other Benelli bikes and features a tachometer, trip meter, odometer and digital clock. While it’s based upon the TNT 300, 302R has longer dimensions as it has a length of 2175mm, 746mm of width, and 1146mm of height. The foundation is based upon an all-new trellis frame, which provides 50:50 weight distribution giving the riders a much more balanced ride. At heart of the Italian is the same unit doing duties in the TNT 300 — a 300cc inline, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke that churns out 38.26bhp at 11,500rpm with a peak torque of 26.5Nm at 10,000rpm whilst mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension setup includes Inverted Telescopic Fork upfront, and Hydraulic Mono Shock Absorber at the rear. The braking power is provided by 260mm dual discs upfront, and 220mm single disc at the rear. Another nifty add-on is the standard dual channel ABS which the rivals like Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha R3 miss out on. ALSO READ: UberMOTO wants to ride across multiple Indian states
