Microsoft kicked off the E3 2017 with the highly awaited Xbox One X gaming console, followed by Bethesda and EA. Yesterday, Sony held its E3 2017 press conference which mostly consisted of a host of game trailers. In addition to this, Sony also announced PSVR games like Skyrim, Final Fantasy XV, Bravo Team, and Moss which is about the journey of a small mouse. Here’s a compiled list of the top six games Sony showcased at its E3 2017 press conference.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
Uncharted: Lost Legacy will be out on August 22 and stars characters Chloe Frazer, a treasure hunter and mercenary Nadine Ross. This game is set in India where the two characters set out on a quest to find the tusk of Hindu God Ganesh.
Days Gone is Sony’s upcoming open-world zombie survival game. It’s seven-minute trailer shows a post-apocalyptic world where one can manipulate zombie hordes to their advantage. Call of Duty: World War II
Sony showcased a new trailer for Call of Duty: World War II which is set to release on November 3. Call of Duty: World War II goes back in time to the war which was the base for the first three games in the series. Produced by Sledgehammer Games, the multiplayer game is set in the World War II era, with soldiers taking it out on the Nazis with anti-air guns, flamethrowers, dropping bombs from planes, and more. Call of Duty: World War II is also set to be the first in the series to feature gory scenes which seemed evident from the trailer.
God of War
God of War brings back Kratos focusing on his relationship with his son Atreus. Sony first showcased the new God of War game at last year’s E3 conference. The almost six-minute trailer shows Kratos and Atreus embarking on a journey based on ancient Norse mythology. During its journey of Kratos fighting, the father-son duo encounters a giant serpent which also marks the end of the trailer. Sony is still not clear on a release date for God of War with possibility on an early 2018 launch.
Destiny 2 received a new trailer showcased at the E3 2017 Sony and Bungie. The trailer gave a first look at Destiny 2’s antagonist Dominous Ghaul, leader of the Red Legion. Bungie has shifted the release date for PC two days ahead to September 6. Sony also revealed its continued exclusivity with Bungie which brings a strike, gear, ship, weapons exclusively to PS4 players. The beta version of Destiny 2 will release in July with PS4 players receiving it first, followed by Xbox One and PC. Sony’s press conference concluded with Insomniac’s Spider-Man game being showcased. Your friendly neighbor Spider-Man will be coming to PS4 exclusively in 2018. The nine-minute trailer shows the gameplay of Spider-Man which focuses on a story different from its comics and the upcoming movie. The highlight of the trailer was the cameo of Miles Morales who first made his appearance in Ultimate Fallout #4 after the death of Peter Parker.
