After facing plenty of backlash from his investors, Tesla CEO Elon Musk finally apologized to cave diver Vern Unsworth, who played an instrumental part in the rescue of the 12 kids stuck in a cave in Thailand. Elon Musk stated in his tweet, “that the fault is mine and mine alone.”
Elon Musk apologized for baselessly calling Unsworth a pedo on Twitter, after the diver accused Musk’s efforts of saving the children a PR stunt in an interview on CNN. Elon Musk even followed insults with tweets but they were eventually taken down.
Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologize to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone.

The whole situation took place when Elon Musk offered to help with the rescue by offering a kid-sized submarine. After being dismissed by Unsworth as a PR stunt, Elon Musk not only retaliated by calling him a pedo but also said that he would create a video demonstrating that the mini submarine would have worked.
However, all of this wasn’t taken well by the company’s shareholder. While some of them believe Musk’s intentions to be good, it also seems to be misguided. They believe it is important for Musk to change his attitude as it could have a bad impact on the company, which at the moment is also struggling to meet production goals.
