Facebook is reportedly enabling WhatsApp Business account creation within their portal for advertisers. According to a Newsfeed.org report, Facebook Business and Advertiser account users will soon be able to set up a WhatsApp Business account from within their Business Manager itself, which means Facebook Businesses that have been using WhatsApp to provide customer support will be able to add their business account in Business Manager. For now, it seems that Facebook might just be testing this feature for a select region and it might take time for the company to enable it for everyone. Reportedly, to create a WhatsApp Business account from Facebook, commercial account users can head over to the Business Manager settings, choose WhatsApp accounts and click Add . Here they can Create WhatsApp Business account and set up payments, add people, assign roles and more from their Facebook account itself, just like any other advertising account.
It is also reported that users have an option to create send message ads that open up in WhatsApp by creating a campaign under the Message objective, and in the Destination they can choose WhatsApp .
Facebook has been proactively creating new tools for WhatsApp Business since its launch. WhatsApp has a larger audience and more than one billion active users. Over-and-above Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has already said that over three million people are actively using the WhatsApp Business app already.
WhatsApp Business competes with services like Apple s Business Chat and RCS messaging for Android and Facebook s own Messenger Platform, chat apps all built around connecting businesses with customers.
