Facebook has just released its App Center, a single place from where users can find apps for Facebook. It will offer more than 600 apps at launch and will be available from Facebook’s web version as well as its iOS and Android apps.
On the web, users will be able to use the apps directly by clicking on them in the App Center while mobile variants might require downloading the app. Facebook’s objective is to make it easy for users to discover apps that integrate with their Facebook accounts as well as make them frictionless to use by removing the authorization dialogue. Instead, users will be able to see what the app rating as well as permissions required before installing the app.
Facebook is currently hosting an event in San Fransisco and we will update this post as we get more details.
