Since Facebook launched Live videos in February this year, the company has been pushing the feature aggressively with some new update or other. You would have noticed in the past one year, that Facebook has been prioritizing live video content over everything else on its News Feed. And now, Facebook is reportedly testing a new feature, which would really, really push you to watch a live video or two every time you log in. According to a report by Mashable, Facebook has been prompting some users to watch Live broadcasts via a small autoplay window, which pops up in the bottom right of Facebook’s app. The feature is currently being tested only with select users on the platform s iOS app. Also Read - Facebook is finally bringing 'smart glasses' in collaboration with Ray-Ban
Basically, if a page that you have subscribed or a person in your Friends list goes live, you will now see a pop-up window on the corner of the app s screen showing the live video in that little window. In the screenshots shared by Mashable, the pop-window look quite similar to YouTube s minimised video screens. So, instead of a notification of someone or some page you follow going live, you will now see the video automatically pop-up on your screen. Not pushy at all! “We may show you a small video notification in the bottom right-hand corner of News Feed on mobile when there’s a live video that you may be interested in watching,” a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable.
Apparently, these mini Live videos will be on auto play modes, however, they could either be closed or they will disappear on their own if the user decides not to engage. But, do spare some thought about the toll this feature would take on your mobile data.

Though the feature is rolling out only for Android users in the course of the coming week, the update will be visible to Android, iOS and the Web users. iOS and Web users are expected to receive the update in the coming months.
In order to use the feature, a user would need to tap on the status bar, choose a color from the choices below the text (including some gradients), write their message, and tap post. Again, the feature is applicable only for text only posts, and it doesn t work for link, image, or video posts.
