Facebook users on Android will now be able to like a post, photos or pages even when they are offline. The social network has updated its app to introduce offline support, performance improvements and bug fixes for its Android users.

The company had last month introduced an update for its iOS app which allowed users to create posts even in flight-mode or in low network zones. It would upload these posts automatically once a data network connection becomes available. However unlike the iOS app, Android users won’t be able to post content offline or in flight mode. Apart from this, the updated app will let users remove tags they had created or their friends had created. For those who don’t want to get notifications for posts, the update now allows them to turn it off. The company also claims that this refresh to the app will improve app speed which will load the news feeds faster than before and help the app perform better.
