Facebook does not want to be left behind as the craze around FIFA World Cup 2018 catches steam. Among the new features including camera update and a few games to play with friends you are chatting on the Messenger. The Messenger app’s camera app now has filters for face paint and ‘festive wigs’ designed for every competing team. The update also includes frame effects featuring the flags of each country in the tournament and custom ones for each match. The app also has hidden games like Keepie Uppie and fantasy instant game theScore have their own special World Cup versions now. There is also a new title named Golden Boot downloadable from the Messenger’s games tab. The game lets players try out their free kick skills without leaving the messaging service.
Facebook Messenger is globally used by over 1.3 billion users and Facebook recently confirmed that its own Messenger Day feature has even wider user base. The company has been able to copy Snapchat’s success with even more users than rivals. FIFA World Cup 2018, which is being held from June 14 to July 15 in Russia, will be the ideal time when Messenger users share stickers and messages expressing support for their favorite team.
