FiiO launches its M7 Hi-Res lossless music player for Rs 19,990 in the Indian market

FiiO has added a Samsung Exynos 7270 SoC to M7 music player along with ESS Sabre 9018 chip for “unsurpassed” sound quality.

FiiO has announced the launch of its latest music player, the M7 Hi-Res lossless music player in the Indian market. The company has priced the music player at Rs 19,990 and it is available for purchase on the official FiiO India store including other e-commerce and retail outlets in Black, Silver, and Red colors. The company has added a Samsung Exynos 7270 SoC along with ESS Sabre 9018 chip for “unsurpassed” sound quality. It will come with 2GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that support cards up to 512GB for expanding the storage. M7 will also come with Samsung Bluetooth 4.2 chip which will include support for aptX-HD technology and LDAC audio codecs.

The company claims that this will enable the Bluetooth chip to transmit three times the data to provide high-resolution experience. Japan Audio Association has tested the M7 to certify the music player as capable for providing “Hi-Res Audio”. It will also come with a 3.2-inch display with 480×800 resolution display along with support for zooming in on images and gesture system to navigate different menus. The device will also come with a 1,180 mAh battery that allows M7 Music player to provide 20 or more hours of playback time along with 40 days of standby time.

FiiO has also added support for CTIA standard in-line controls on its 3.5 mm headphone output and M7 also sports line-out function which allows users to use external amplifiers along with the music player. The company has not forgotten users who use USB-powered audio devices as it has added support for USB audio digital output. This is possible by pairing the music player with FiOO Q5 or Q1MKII through USB or Bluetooth.

The company clarified that is has added a USB Type-C port to keep up with the times instead of putting a microUSB port on the M7. It also comes with support for FM radio playback with support for frequencies from 76MHz till 108MHz. The company supports up to audio files with up to 192kHz/24 bit PCM audio along with support for APE, WAV, FLAC, AIF, DSD, M4A, WMA, OGG, AAC, ALAC, MP3, CUE codec and “numerous others”.
