Microsoft is now all set to launch its first Microsoft Lumia branded smartphone. In a short post on its Conversations blog, the company teased that it will be releasing its first non-Nokia smartphone on November 11. The announcement comes a week after a couple photos of first Microsoft Lumia leaked onto a Chinese forum. The company has said that it will be unveiling a Microsoft Lumia device , which implies that only one Microsoft Lumia smartphone will be showcased next Thursday. The company also shared the official renders of the device, and from the images it appears to be the successor to the entry-level Lumia 530, which was launched earlier this year. If rumors are to be believed, the first Microsoft Lumia will feature a 5-inch 720p display, and will be powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Additionally it is also said to feature 8GB internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA selfie snapper upfront. As for colors, it will come in black, white, gray, blue, orange, blue, and green colors.
The latest move is a part of an ongoing strategic move inside the company to slowly phase out the Nokia branding name. The company has already begun to redirect several Nokia s regional website to Microsoft mobile website. It also announced recently rebranded several Nokia apps.
