E-commerce giant Flipkart has just announced the return of its “The Big Billion Days” sale on October 10, 2018. The reason for the return for the sale event is likely because of the approaching festival season where a majority of customers in the country buy new products. As part of the announcement, the company pointed out that it will offer “upto 80% off” on Televisions, appliances, electronic devices, and accessories. The company is also planning to offer “upto 90% off” on products in categories including fashion, home decor, personal care and more. The sale will also include “great deals on top mobile brands” according to the announcement.
The company added that the sale will focus on categories including “Mobiles, Gadgets, TVs & Appliances, Fashion, Personal Care, Furniture & more.” Flipkart Plus members can take advantage of the subscription with an exclusive three-hour early access to the sale. Flipkart has also teamed up with HDFC for exclusive offers for its debit and credit card holders. The announcement also pointed out that the company will offer options for no cost EMI, Debit card EMIs, Flipkart Pay Later, and Cardless Credit as payment options to ensure that the users can easily afford what they want to buy.

‘The Big Billion Days’ sale will also come with cashback offers for PhonePe users along with special discounts on smartphone recharges and travel for Flipkart users on Android. The company claimed that it will come with new deals every 8 hours, flash sale every hour along with 120 new deals in 120 hours.
Flipkart will also hold contests and games to offer rewards of up to Rs 5 crore for its users. The sale will start on October 10 and will go on till October 14. The first day of the sale will be focused on “Fashion, TVs & Appliances, Home & Furniture, Beauty, Sports, Toys, Books, Smart Devices, Personal Care Appliances & more” while the second day will be focused on “Mobiles and Electronic Devices & Accessories” categories. The last three days of the sale will include all the categories available on the website.
The company also added that it has teamed up with Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Virat Kohli, and other celebrities to promote the sale. Kalyan Krishnamurthy, the CEO of Flipkart issued a statement for the sale adding, “The Big Billion Days has become India’s most anticipated event, one that marks the beginning of India’s festive season and sets the bar for what follows. This year marks the fifth edition of TBBD and we are focused on making it the biggest and best one yet.”
