Flipkart’s ‘Big Billion Day’ sale kicked off today with promises of big discounts on products across all categories. But the big sale is turning out to be a massively frustrating experience for buyers as the e-commerce site is unable to keep up with the high traffic.
The sale went live at 08:00AM today, and since morning users are complaining of error messages, website crashing, and not being able to pay for their selected products. There are also complaints about buyers clicking on the ‘Buy Now’ button, but the product is not getting added to the shopping carts. Very few have successfully bought what they were looking for, but it has taken them a few tries and some amount of luck.
As expected, many took to Twitter to express their disappointment and frustrations, and here are a select few.

Good news. The 500 Internal Server Error pages are gone from flipkart. Now you have 404 Page Not Found pages. 19.2% off on error message.

Flipkart should have just kept this Big Billion Sale on April Fools day instead.

It is not only Flipkart that is hosting a massive sale today, and its rival Snapdeal too kicked off its Diwali sale today. But things are not a lot better on the e-commerce site either, as buyers are complaining about blank pages and website crashing.
