E-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon India are gearing up for the upcoming festival season with their seasonal sale events. Both companies are making a major push to attract buyers on their respective platforms with the help of discounts, and cash back offers. Flipkart will start its seasonal The Big Billion Days from October 10th, 2018 till October 14th while Amazon India kick-off its Great Indian Festival sale from October 10th. 2018 till October 15th. Similar to previous seasonal sale events, both the companies are offering discounts in a number of departments including electronics, fashion, kitchen utensils, consumer electronics, and other accessories. Both companies are competing against each other for the bigger piece of the pie as a majority of Indian customers choose this time to buy new things. Flipkart is making a considerable push while teaming up with Bollywood celebrities and sports personalities to pull buyers to its platform. On the other hand, Amazon India is likely to focus on strong discounts without the celebrity power. Considering that the sale season is likely to bombard users with multiple deals, we went through both the platforms to look for new website-exclusive smartphones that have been launched in the last three months. We took a note of latest devices on both the platforms to make it easier for buyers to check the portfolio of both Amazon India and Flipkart.

Taking a closer look at the data, Flipkart is offering 27 devices as platform exclusives to buyers while Amazon is offering about 15 devices as platform exclusives. This does not include a number of unreleased smartphones that are lined up for launch in the coming weeks.
