The festive season has just begun, and so has Flipkart’s ‘Big Billion Days’ sale, offering discounts and deals on every product imaginable. Among other things, there are quite a few smartphones that the e-tailer is offering at reduced prices, but perhaps the one you should take a look at is Xiaomi’s Poco F1. Ever since it was launched under Xiaomi’s newly-minted Poco sub-brand, the smartphone has caused a stir in the market. After all, it’s the only smartphone that offers Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 845 SoC at a (starting) price of Rs 20,999. As low that it already is, what if we told you that the Poco F1 (base variant) can be yours for an unthinkably-low Rs 5,799? As part of Big Billion Days, Flipkart is offering the Poco F1 for just Rs 5,799. The deal was advertised on Twitter, by none other than Xiaomi’s Manu Kumar Jain. The reduced price is only valid if you opt-in for Flipkart’s ‘Buyback Program’. Basically, you purchase the Poco F1 (6GB RAM/64GB storage version) at its full price of Rs 20,999 from Flipkart. However, you also must purchase the e-tailer’s ‘Buyback Guarantee Policy’ for Rs 149. That way, once you upgrade to a new smartphone in the next 6-8 months, you’ll get a buyback value of up to Rs 14,700. Add to that the minimum exchange value of Rs 500, and your effective ownership cost of Poco F1 comes out to be just Rs 5,799.
